Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to refine and enhance the skills of individuals experienced in the hospitality and service industries. An emphasis is placed throughout the course on the psychology of working in private service which is entirely different to any other service environment. The course teaches the skills and provides the tools to ensure a successful and rewarding career as a butler / house manager.
Course content is regularly reviewed for currency and relevance by the Board of Studies which comprises School, industry and education representatives. With a combination of theory and practical skills, the curriculum is geared to job placement for course graduates.

Assessment
Each module of the course has an associated written assessment to be completed outside class hours. In addition, students are required to complete a group project requiring demonstration of team work principles in addition to skills and knowledge gained from the curriculum. Assessment of practical skills takes place during class hours.
The School applies assessment processes, methods and tools that allow students to demonstrate attainment of required competencies in a holistic manner. The emphasis is on gathering evidence that shows the synthesis of skills, knowledge and attitudes in performing the full range of tasks required including simulations and role plays, observation, case studies, oral tests and questioning.
