Private Residence Butler
Residential hospitality service is a growing employment sector for skilled and experienced hospitality and customer service trained employees who wish to practise their trade in the private residences of successful, high net worth individuals.
For people who work harder and longer than ever before, for whom leisure time is precious, having someone to manage their personal life is no longer a luxury, indeed it's a necessity.
Rising numbers of professional couples are combining a variety of outsourced personal services into the single role of a butler as they seek to elevate standards of presentation and service in their homes.
The job of a butler / house manager is demanding, challenging, stimulating, frustrating, mundane, rewarding and exciting. No other job is quite like it.
One minute you might be organising the wardrobe of designer labels or making beds with luxury percale bed linen, the next you're on a helicopter on your way to the private yacht, beach house or country retreat and the next shopping for crystal and porcelain. One day you're organizing a formal function for one hundred guests and the next day an intimate family barbecue.
Today's butler is a jack of all trades - IT expert, financial whiz, organiser extraordinaire, psychologist, dog-walker, chauffeur and chef. The service provided may be formal or informal – but it must be, at all times, professional and discreet.
